Huacaya Alpacas breeding Stock

July 2020 Update: 2020 offspring have hit the ground and we continue to be impressed with how this male just stamps them out. Strong frames, abundant fleece coverage, and incredible growth and development on the crias compared to others in the "nursery". You just cannot go wrong with this male and his ancestry. ____________________ The Legend has started his breeding career with authority! Three for three now - all girls (dark fawn, medium fawn and white!). Pulling in color from his own extensive background of Futurity Color Championship ancestry, we are quite pleased with what we are seeing hit the ground here! To date, his daughter, Barbie, has won 1st at Nationals as well as a banner for Best of Bred & Owned at the very competitive Carolina show - as a juvie! Due to the COVID situation, no other of his offspring have been shown yet. ____________________ A stunning multiple color champion white male with exactly the package we expect in our program – conformation (there has to be a flawless foundation from which to build upon), exquisite fiber (color championships when competing against the PacNW farms tells you that this fiber stands up to scrutiny), AND presence. H2R Velvet Legend – a.k.a. “Buggy” as he is known in to us – is the son of the legendary Snowmass Velvet Touche’ and H2R Junebug. Snowmass Velvet Touche’ has his own accolades and is well known for not only being a multiple color champion at Futurity but also for putting champion offspring on the ground again and again and again. This male just stamps them out – a consistent impact male. A secret ingredient here is the impact dam – H2R Junebug. H2R Junebug is the daughter of Snowmass Elite Legend and TGF Lynnea, and she brings her own championship credentials to the table in the making of this next generation. Look closely at the ARI on this male. The lineup has so many amazing names that cannot be ignored. The ancestry is simply phenomenal. (Remember, Snowmass Velvet Touche' is a male that won Futurity banners TWO times and has repeatedly stamped out impact offspring! Champion H2R Junebug descends from Elite Legend and remains in the top 5% of EPDs today in many categories - this is a powerhouse dam that is not to be ignored as a foundation dam. We cannot thank Happy Hounds enough for parting with these genetics and allowing us to build this into our next generations.) The Next Generation Alpaca has arrived.

**Sale Pending** June 2023 - Another 7.4# blanket and 3.1# neck sheared - this male consistently is staying in the 10# range of quality, usable fiber even at his age! And bonus - a stunning rose grey offspring of his just hit the ground! May 2022 - Creedence continues to be a fiber machine. 7.5# blanket and 2.8# neck (almost as nice as the blanket!) - probably another 2# in legs shorn but didn't bother weighing that. What a fiber beast! His (all grey so far!) offspring are also doing well against tough competition! Aug 2021 - Creedence's first offspring has hit the ground! A classic dark silver grey son out of a black dam - SCORE!!! May 2021 - Whew - so glad to get that fiber off! Creedence sheared a stunning 7# blanket and 2.7# neck. We can't wait to see how this will be passed on to future generations! January 2021 - We have obtained full ownership of this stunning male. We can't wait to see his offspring hit the ground later this year! _____________________ July 2020 - Creedence has started his breeding career with enthusiasm. We are absolutely thrilled in the manner that Creedence has matured in the past few months. This male was born to be a herdsire. We have multiple confirmed pregnancies (via ultrasound) from this male and we are excited to see the offspring in 2021! He is the real deal. _____________________ Every once in a while a youngster comes along that has it all - curb appeal, style, personality - and has the "goods" to back it up - correct conformation, stunning fleece, and an adorable true-to-type head. Introducing... Creedence. Just one name. Just one look. All his own. This multiple color champion holds his own against tough competition regardless of usually being the youngest in his class - because he has all the traits of a champion - correct conformation and fiber that is fine, dense, remarkably consistent from skin to tip across the blanket and is the same clear through to the belly and shoulder/bib area. We are not seeing any large primaries as his secondaries come in - quite remarkable for a grey. Look closely at his pedigree - Creedence hails from ancestry that grey breeders know well. Top and bottom, the parents are champion and champion producers. Superb sire, A Paca Fun's Sonic Shift, has credentials all his own and power dam, TAR Cupid's Daphne is a secret weapon that has produced champions at every level. Look for Creedence at shows and on Instagram. #CreedenceTheAlpaca.

**2022 Update: Another shearing season, another 6.1# blanket and 2.0# neck! As a 5.7 year old male! All prime usable fiber from a working male! SCORE!! **2021 Update: THREE stunning bright white female offspring have hit the ground sired by DEFCON. We are absolutely thrilled with what this male is stamping out! WOW doesn't even begin to describe the bone and fleece! **UPDATE: DEFCON is now under new ownership and is proudly owned by Salt Creek! We are excited to add this outstanding male to our herdsire lineup. We have seen the proof in his progeny and are excited for his next generations! Thank you to Hidden Hill for releasing him to us! ________________________________ WOW - Yet another stunning son of Hidden Hill Peruvian Dually - the incredible Futurity Color Champion that just keeps on reminding everyone that he is an impact male by stamping out his image in his offspring. Defcon-5 is another one of Dually's champion offspring. Dually matched up with Maple Brook Marla (Defcon'-5's dam), we bring to the table a handful of spectacular traits from impact ancestors such as Augusto, Hemingway, and Mister Antonio. Make no mistake - this power dam passed the goods to her son. Defcon-5 and his full brother (Dually Honored) are the next generation offspring of the Futurity Color Champion, Dually (a 5x CC, 4x JC amazing male) and Marla (a legendary female with grade 1 fleece as a teenager!). Density AND fineness are packed onto these males - add the brightness, consistency across that blanket, architecture and and amazing handle to their correct frames and you have the recipe for the making of champions. Defcon-5 is on loan to Salt Creek Alpacas for a limited time. Contact us if you are interested in an opportunity to breed to Defcon-5 while he is still in the Midwest for a short time.

**Update Summer 2022: Romeo's first cria has hit the ground and it is a spitting image of him! A bright white perfect robust male. No complaints when the males look like this one! Introducing Xanadu's Ravello - aka "Romeo" as he is known around the barn. A stunning color champion WHITE male from an exceptional program, this male comes with not only his own credentials, but also has the backing of his top shelf champion ancestors. Ravello caught my attention for many reasons - his presence, correct conformation, true-to-type overall "curb appeal", and calm temperament speak for themselves. His fleece has the exact characteristics one looks for when choosing herd sires - exceptional uniformity, fineness, architecture, brightness all rolled into one package. The icing on the cake was ancestry here - Ravello has amazing parents that should not be overlooked and demand to be factored into any breeding decisions. His sire, TGF Royal Tribute, carries his own line of royalty from Snowmass Royal Challanger. But power dam, Xanadu P Filigree is what truly caught my attention - a champion herself, everything she produces turns to gold. Pay attention folks...SHE is a gem. Romeo has settled his first females and we are anxiously awaiting the first crias to hit the ground in the Spring/Summer of 2022.

**Update Aug 2022: the first offspring for Phoenix has hit the ground and has exceeded our expectations ... we are thrilled that we even have a male offspring for future crossing with females, the offspring is THAT nice! Ancestry is definitely passing on the baton here. And...now a female has hit the ground! WOWZA!!! ________ We have intentionally kept this young male hidden for a reason. He has settled his first females and we cannot wait to see the offspring. His sire is an incredible 7x Supreme Champion up in Canada. His dam is also a Canadian knockout who hails from a line of "who's who" champions. When Phoenix hit the ground, we knew we had something special. We had not seen such density and "wetness" (think of the luster you see on a suri) on a cria in a long time. The fiber coverage and bone on this male is also amazing. The stars just simply aligned. We took a gamble and decided to keep Phoenix from the show ring and let him grow into his frame and we are extremely pleased - he starts his breeding career this spring and will be closed to the outside at this time.

*The Captain's first two cria have hit the ground and both are rose grey offspring! AWESOME!!!! This male caught my eye at his first show when he was a juvie. He has stunning fleece – tight crimp architecture, wonderful handle, amazing density – all in a beautiful light rose grey. It is no fluke that he has so many first place ribbons in halter AND RC banners in walking fleece, including taking the RC banner at Nationals in Walking Fleece! He is all MACHO – interested in breeding starting at the age of 15 months. We held him back from shows in the Fall due to his “interest” as he was climbing the stalls and mounting everything in sight – so for safety reasons, we made the decision to leave him home. This is a strong, solid, robust male – and we can’t wait to see him paired up with a few females that we have in mind for him! Captain's ancestry is a "who's who" of impact males - both the sire (KBA's Light's Out) and the dam (CCPA Rumm Over Ice) are stacked with high powered credentials. This is not a male to walk past, knowing what he genetically holds. His show credentials speak for themselves, especially against the toughest competition at both AOA Nationals and Futurity.

We are excited to introduce this stunningly proud young light silver grey male. Steely Dan is the complete package - proven pedigree, spot-on conformation and elite fleece. We are excited to see what he will accomplish in his show career and what he will produce in our breeding program. We are also excited to announce that we co-own KBA's Steely Dan with KB Alpacas.

**Update Spring 2025 - Resolute's offspring did extremely well at the shows - they held their own in very competitive brown and fawn female classes and garnered comments from judges who noted their flawless conformation, extreme coverage, density, fineness, uniformity, brightness, and consistent architecture (skin to tip) - generally, the only thing holding them back is they were youngest in the classes usually and didn't have the benefits of shearing as the older entries did. We are looking forward to bringing these offspring back out. **Update Summer 2024 - Resolute's (aka "Lute") first crias have hit the ground and WOW. Stunning females in his image! We can't wait for more like this! Looking to add diversity to our herd, this male caught my attention for several reasons. First, well, just look at him – he is the complete package. Curb appeal, style, true-to-type Huacaya, and has the presence you want in a macho male. Look a little deeper and the second reason appears – he has all the traits you want in your breeding program – strong and correct frame and conformation, full coverage on the frame with fleece that is bright, fine, and dense – and it has the expected architecture to match – consistent and uniform throughout the blanket, neck, and legs. He checks all the boxes here. Lastly, his ARI reveals that he also has the ancestry to back him up – he is power packed on both his dam and sire side. This male isn’t a fluke. We have enjoyed watching this young male mature and can’t wait to see what he will bring to our program in the future. Resolute is proudly co-owned with Oak Crest Alpacas.

**Wayne is currently offsite for stud service. Lucky man! Ah...Wayne. Rock solid conformation and presence - because this male simply has the fiber to back up the frame and the attitude. Blessed with ancestors who have simply passed the torch on to this male, Wayne has incredibly dense, soft, bright, uniform fiber that shows consistency from skin to tip wherever you look on the blanket, neck, and belly. His ARI reads like a who's who - power dams and impact herdsires abound on top and bottom of his lineage. Most folks know the names of MFI Peruvian Frontrunner (son of My Peruvian Rolex), LMFI Peruvian Playboy (son of Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah), but sprinkled in are also impact herd sires of Snowmass Millennium, CPeruvian Winchester, and of course PPeruvian Caligula. Put the power dams of My Peruvian Fenja, and Peruvian Honeybelle are never to be overlooked in any ARI. Building blocks of herds.

**Update Summer 2024: The GMan crias are starting to hit the ground here and we cannot be more impressed. Strong in bone and conformation, these crias also have the fiber right off the bat...full coverage, dense, and already seeing "bundling" happening after a hours. While GMan has his own credentials (4 banners and multiple ribbons to back him up), serious breeders understand the power in his pedigree. One glance at his ARI certificate and several things stand out in glaring lights – such as: • His sire, Crescendo, is full sibling to several well-known impact herdsires: The Elite Maximus and DDF Peruvian Rico Suave • His dam, Snowmass Matrix Grace, brings together a splendid harmony of powerhouse females (Peruvian Lace, PPPeruvian Edelweis, Little Miss Jennifer, Snowmass Marie Love all behind the scenes along with DDF Bobbie Ann!) • Impact herdsires in his ARI are all jaw-dropping, impact names – pick one that you DON’T know – Accoyo Elite, Hemingway, Snowmass Quechua, Snowmass Matrix, Snowmass Royal Challanger, Legacy (THE Legacy!), Snowmass Royal Rose, Snowmass Legacy Gold, and of course, Crescent Moon’s Elite Crescendo • At the age of 8, his EPDs are still remarkable in 7 categories Need we say more? GMan is proudly co-owned with Oak Crest Alpacas.

Ah…Americus. We knew we had to have him from the moment we heard he had hit the ground – after all, we already had his champion full sibling. Americus has not disappointed us AT ALL. He is, after all, another multiple champion (halter and walking fleece!) from the same stunning lines. Don’t be shy – drool over his stunning pedigree of champion lineage. We did. Americus has impressed us from day one – strong in bone and conformation, this male also has the fiber characteristics to back him up. Fine, consistent architecture from skin to tip, uniform across the blanket, dense, and bright. And he has the macho presence to boot. This has given him multiple championships and places him squarely in the stud row amongst our other top males. He has earned his place amongst his peers. Hailing from such impressive lineage, we are excited to transition Americus from the show ring to stud row - we cannot wait to see what his next generation offspring bring to the industry! LibertyAlpacas Americus is co-owned with Oak Crest Alpacas.

*2025 update* We know that white males are the most common huacayas...but how many keep stats like this year after year? Clearly this youngster is carrying the torch from his ancestors forward. Well done, Jack! His price will continue to rise as he matures and maintains his traits...this male has a future on herdsire row. ______ Jack – as he is known around the farm – is most definitely a "next generation” alpaca. As soon as he was dried off, we knew that we had hit the “Jackpot” with this young male. Strong bone, excellent and correct frame, full fleece coverage – and the brightness, density and abundance of fleece was apparent within a few hours of his birth. Jack had an incredibly uniform, dense fleece (with 2024 stats of 17.1 / 3.6 / 100.0), that sits upon an strong and large boned frame. This is a young male that will continue to mature and should be taken seriously as a future breeder. Since we own both parents, Jack is a reduced price until we decide to have him replace his sire on our own herdsire row. Blessed with excellent parents – his ancestry screams champions on both sides of the border – we recognize that most US farms won’t be familiar with some of the Canadian genetics, and that is ok…we will let Jack (and his paternal sister, Bailey) speak for themselves as they mature and catch they eye of farms around them - and the judges!
