Granite's Grey Ghost - "3G"

**Summer 2024 - 3G simply isn't getting the work here so we have decided to let him go at a drastically reduced price. His genetics are in our herd in female offspring so we have no problem letting him go to work on another farm. He consistently throws large sturdy frames with long, fine, uniform and consistent architecture staples. He needs to go to a farm that will use him! We simply have too many grey herd sires now.

Update Fall 2022: 3G's first offspring has hit the ground! A stunning rose grey female! We have kept 3G a closely guarded secret since we sent his sire up to Arriba in Canada and now we are thrilled to see that the sire has indeed passed the torch on to his son.

Update June 2022: As this male matures, he is really bursting in both fleece and frame. He is almost unrecognizable as he starts to take on the traits of his ancestors. No longer the lanky "teen" in the pasture, this is a strong and robust fleece producing male who has settled females. His well defined staples are long, fine, dense, and full of substance and brightness as the secondaries have emerged. We are glad we kept him in our reserves! :)

At just under four months old, this male is off the charts in height and weight and definitely catches your eye in the pasture or in the barn. His conformation is rock solid - strong, thick bones, and boxy in his stance - a true to type huacaya head. His fleece is fine and dense and architecture is coming in nicely with consistency from skin to tip across the blanket. Right now, he appears to be stamped out in his sire's image.

3G is taking a commanding presence in the show circuit at an early age - taking 1st place in the Carolina show and an impressive 3rd at Nationals - placing above some animals that had previously been banner winners. Once his cria coat comes off in the spring shearing season, the next blanket will be eagerly awaited. This young male has it all - the new growth is showing incredible architecture from the skin and the handle is amazing. The brightness and consistency is wonderful.
